The Inn
Offering four rooms, and a Carriage House, the McMillan Inn provides a magical venue of "Victorian Romance Perfected."
The Inn is located in a wonderfully restored, 1888 Italianate Revival structure, and is within two blocks of historic Forsyth Park… central to the largest Historic District and acclaimed "Most Walkable City" in the entire United States. Period antiques and furnishings abound in both the sleeping suites and in the common areas. By contemporary standards, some would say the lush and extravagant appointments are somewhat "over the top," but by Romantic Victorian standards, they are "simply just perfect" … truly a wonderful way to experience an era gone by.
Sit outside on the Front Veranda before breakfast to savor a cup of coffee and the morning paper. Relax … or meet and greet friends in the Main Parlor, where you can enjoy a working fireplace and your choice of music from an extensive CD collection.
Relax in our parlor or courtyard as you partake of the afternoon sweets and iced tea. Homemade Pecan tassies, Butter cakes, Brownies and Chocolate Chip cookies are just a few of the goodies you’ll enjoy.
Experience the McMillan Inn's Courtyard…… After a wonderful day of walking and touring our guests enjoy relaxing in our newly designed courtyard complete with flower gardens, cherub fountain and ‘dipping pool'. The dipping pool is the perfect place to sit and sip your favorite beverage as you are cooling off from the heat of the day. While in the courtyard you may also get the chance to meet "GiGi" the owner's little dog and Jangle their rescued cat as they come and go from the Owner's garden apartment below the Inn. Gigi and Jangle are never guests inside the inn.
Innkeepers
Joe and Cindy Celento are your Inn Keepers/Proprietors who love running the McMillan Inn and meeting guest from all over the world. We pride ourselves with making each guests stay a memorable one. You will feel right at home at the McMillan Inn. Joe and Cindy arrived in Savannah in 2003 from Annapolis Maryland. Cindy grew up as a child here and has returned to her Savannah roots. In Annapolis Cindy worked as a baker for a prominent Annapolis caterer, and she loves to cook as you will soon find out!
Ummm... breakfast at the McMillan Inn is the Best Time of the day! You can expect to savor fresh home made pastries and muffins, fruit dishes like baked pears and apples with a cheese crumble topping followed by a delicious main course that will keep you coming back each morning for the next menu du jour surprise. It is a time to meet new friends as you enjoy pleasant conversation over a cup of coffee or gourmet imported hot tea selections.
